So as you may be new to this blog, mainly because it was only created a few moments ago, this is a blog. My blog to be exact, and to be honest, I haven’t really figured out what I want it to be about. Granted I have no idea how many people will look at my blog, let alone follow it, but I do have some sort of grasp on the things I wanna talk about. Mainly this is going to be just me babbling on and on about what I did, what I found, what I bought that left me broke, and some tips and tricks that I picked up while existing. It can be about clothes, makeup, food, places I’ve been to or planning on going to, and just generally how I view things. I have no idea what to write about, which can be seen at the sloppy way of writing that I am giving to the readers or this post (maybe even future posts), but I just wanted to do this for fun. So I thought, “Why not write about the season I love?” So here it is, my thoughts on fall/autumn.
Fall is the season of change, literally everything around you is changing. The leaves on the trees have been a given since we became fascinated with it as little kids, but fall is also the season of change because of the new environments people are going into, whether it be a new school or a new job. Fall also means being grateful and stuffing yourself (and a turkey) in a way to give thanks and show your gratitude. Besides who can say no to free food? It’s also the season that has the best fashion outfits (in my opinion), until we all have to bundle ourselves up for the winter. Fall is also the only season that has two names which I think is pretty neat, but then again I get excited over the silliest things. I also really love sweaters, which kind of goes hand in hand with fall.
The main reason I love fall is because it’s warm. Not in terms of the weather, but it just radiates warmth to me. The colours of the season are beautiful warm tones, that contrasts the chill in the air, and I’m a sucker for irony. The people around you are all excited and nervous for the changes in their lives, thankful for the things that haven’t changed and ready to move on to bigger and better things. Autumn has always been a season of reflection for me as well, since everything is moving so fast around me. Sometimes I like to grab a cup of hot chocolate and relax, scroll through Tumblr and think about how I’ve changed, how I’ve improved and the mistakes I’ve made. Though I do cringe at my not so pleasant moments, I smile and get excited for new things to come and surprise me. Autumn means change, and that’s always scary and exciting, kind of like Halloween.
As the leaves change from green to the various reds, yellows and oranges we soon get to make piles of and jump into them, we all begin to be swept up in all the family traditions and adjusting to our new settings, but we never forget to smile at the ones who love us, to say thank you to those who support us, and be grateful to the life we have now. It’s the only one we’ve got right? So why not change? Change up your hair, your style, your tastebuds, yourself. Change is good, change is free, change is constant. Like this blog for example, I’m changing up how I handle my spare time, it may not be amazing at first, but I want to keep doing this. To keep writing posts and to just share a few words and take up a few minutes of your day. Whether you’re waiting in line to get your pumpkin spiced latte, or waiting to get your schedule, just a few minutes is enough. I hope to inspire, to encourage and to bring warmth to my readers, just like how fall brings warmth to me. (That was really cheesy and I apologize.)
Welcome to my blog,
